To alleviate the housing affordability crisis in Hong Kong, we proposed a non-for-profit Co-Op Housing model that would challenge the perception of housing as a speculative commodiy by fostering a limited equity co-operative model to create a sense of ownership and community for stakeholders, and developing a modular and additive mix-use housing tower as a new paradigm for affordable housing in one of the world’s most expensive real estate market, and the world’s densest urban environments.
